David Thorne
David Thorne is a dedicated Christian leader who has had a lifelong commitment to discipleship and expanding the Kingdom of God. With extensive experience in Bible ministry, he has played a key role in strengthening and expanding the work of Bible Societies across Asia Pacific, including the establishment of the Amity Printing Company in China (now the largest producer of Bibles in the world), and the reestablishment of Bible ministry in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Iran, and Mongolia.
As a servant leader, David is passionate about fostering self-sustaining ministries, building strategic partnerships, and mentoring teams to advance global mission.
David is married to Ruth. They have 3 adult children, and 6 grandchildren. They lived and worked overseas for 21 years, first based in India and then Hong Kong. Beyond David’s tenure, he has been a hobby farmer, a car restorer, photographer, graphic artist, and family history researcher.
